2026 WEEKEND ROAD TESTS IN AMHERST
For your convenience, we hire a Registry examiner to administer license exams at our location at 256 North Pleasant, Amherst. The RMV will assign an examiner, according to their availibility, on Saturday or Monday. These weekend road tests are harder to come by in summer months, and months with holidays. They are only available for students of Pioneer Valley Driving School.
Private students who wish to test with us, need to go to pioneervalleydriving.com, and register as a student of the school. Select the PAY LATER option for a $75 lesson. Call 413-253-7432 the next woreking day to schedule your lesson and finalize plans for your test in Amherst.
YOUR LESSON AND TEST WILL BE IN A TOYOTA PRIUS.

If you are Under 18 years old, you need to have a driver education certification on file with the Regisrty on the day we send our list. Remember this is in addition to having had your permit in good standing for 183 days.
In Massachusetts, you are allowed only one scheduled test at a time.
If you fail your test, you must wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) before you can schedule another road test.
You will need to have an original paper permit and a completed application for ROAD TEST on the day of your test.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PRACTICE IN THE AREA AROUND THE DRIVING SCHOOL ON THE DAY OF THE TEST.
